Today is a perfect example of the great things that can happen when two worlds meet. It’s Miek and Stu’s wedding in Leuven, a Belgian-Australian combination that guarantees lots of fun! They’re a young and (as they say their selves) ‘crazy’ couple , and live life to the fullest, they enjoy it every step of the way.
Miek planned every small detail, which makes the day go very smooth and relaxed. When it comes to having their picture taken, it feels like they never did anything else, they’re naturals!
I meet at Miek’s parents house, while David joins the boys at Stu’s place. They are both very calm, no nerves to be found. It’s a busy crowd form hair dressers, best friends, proud parents, and two very talented aunts. One of them made the beautiful bouquet, and the other one even made Miek’s dress, which is stunning! They found the beautiful fabrics at boutique ‘van Rhay‘, where we’ll briefly stop by later on to show the gorgeous dress.
The moment Stu arrives to pick up his beautiful bride, even dad tears up a bit. On our way to city hall, we briefly stop for some beautiful outside pictures.
After the ceremony at the city hall in Leuven, we stop for lunch and then we’re off to take pictures. It’s a very hot day, over 30 degrees, even for an Aussie boy, it’s just too much. They close the day at ‘Hof Ter Klasse’, where we leave them to party the night away, and that’s exactly what they did! Miek and Stu, we had a wonderful with you both, and we wish you the best of luck!
PS Can’t wait to meet up in Australia for some yummie cake, and sweet mustard!
